National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek

From March 15 to April 15 of this year, in accordance with the “Month of Emergency Protection and Civil Defense,” events were organized in the building of the Faculty of Chemistry, including a quiz with the participation of groups from various faculties and an exhibition of thematic drawings by students.

The event was attended by the university leadership, employees of relevant departments, faculty, members of the “Qalqon” group, specialists of the Emergency Situations Department of the Almazar district, and representatives of the district ambulance service. The event was opened with an introductory speech by Vice-Rector for Financial and Economic Affairs Vali Yodgarov.

Under the leadership of Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology Ravshan Okhunov, a quiz dedicated to “Civil Protection Day” was held among 3 teams consisting of students of the Faculties of Chemistry, Biology, and Ecology. Under the leadership of Associate Professor Rano Rustamova, an exhibition of paintings was organized on the theme “A Rescuer is an Honorable Profession.”

Under the leadership of Behzod Mavlonov, Head of the Department of Civil and Labor Protection of the National University of Uzbekistan, a parade of emergency response units was held.

The execution of exercises for correct actions in emergency situations was organized with the participation of students of the faculties and Emergency Situations Units. In classrooms and laboratory rooms, exercises on correct and safe actions in emergency situations during earthquakes and fires were conducted. Students and staff in need of assistance who received conditional injuries were explained the evacuation process with appropriate actions.

At the same time, a group of specialists from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Civil Defense Institute observed the skills of rescue, first aid, public order, and firefighting teams, and made suggestions and recommendations. Specialists and cadets of the Military Training Training Center performed specific exercises according to specific requirements.

At the end of the event, the winners of the quiz and art exhibition were awarded.
