The Uzbek-French Higher Education Forum is taking place

On May 19-20, the National University of Uzbekistan is holding a higher education forum on the topic “Uzbek-French University: Prospects and Development.”

Representatives of leading higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan and France, including the heads of prestigious French universities such as Poitiers, Rennes, Lyon-2, and Havre-Normandy, participated in the plenary session held within the framework of the forum and discussed issues of improving the quality of education, training engineering personnel, scientific research, and international cooperation.

The event was attended by the Head of the Department of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Odil Abdurakhmanov, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic, Anne-Marie Descote, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Uzbekistan, Aurelia Boucher, the First Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Shokhrukh Daliev, the Rector of the National University of Uzbekistan, Inom Madjidov, and members of the delegation.

At the meeting, presentations were made on the main criteria of the French higher education system, the experience of engineering education, the activities of research institutions, and the capabilities of Uzbek students.

Reports were also heard on the transformations and reforms being implemented in the higher education system of Uzbekistan. The event concluded with a question-and-answer session and an open dialogue.

This conference is being organized to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the field of higher education, discuss future joint projects and educational programs, and establish practical cooperation.

The conference continues in the format of bilateral meetings.
