Educational and Scientific Cooperation Expands within the Framework of the NUUz Delegation’s Working Visit to Poland

A delegation of the National University of Uzbekistan, led by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Shuhrat Toshmatov, is currently on a working visit to the Republic of Poland. As part of the visit, the delegation members are participating in a series of meetings and events at the AGH University of Science and Technology, located in Krakow.

The delegation first held talks with the administration of AGH University. During the meeting, Vice-Rector Shuhrat Toshmatov and AGH Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Krzysztof Mendrok discussed the expansion of bilateral cooperation. The parties reached agreements on student and faculty exchange, academic mobility programs, the organization of joint summer schools, alignment of academic curricula with European standards, and the development of teaching workloads based on modern approaches.

Starting from December 8 of this year, AGH University launched a training seminar titled “Pedagogical Mastery and the Economic Efficiency of Geological Research.” The seminar is being attended by a team of faculty members from the Faculty of Geology and Engineering Geology of NUUz, led by Dean Akramiddin Umarov.

During the visit, the NUUz delegation is studying AGH’s advanced scientific and practical experience, including innovative approaches used in mineralogy, ore geology, assessment of mineral resources, and geoinformation technologies. Discussions are also being held on implementing joint scientific projects, participation of faculty members in professional development programs, and expanding the opportunities to utilize laboratory facilities of both universities.

The program of the visit also includes delivering lectures to AGH students, familiarization with the university’s distance-learning platforms, and studying internship procedures. This visit is expected to strengthen cooperation between the two higher education institutions and contribute to enhancing academic and research processes in accordance with international standards.
