Today, a solemn event was organized to mark the first result of the National University of Uzbekistan in the history of the higher education system of our country, taking place among the top 1000 universities of the world.

The congratulatory words of the head of the Department of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abduvali Kholikov, vice-rector for Academic Affairs Shuhrat Toshmatov, vice-rector for international relations Raima Shirinova, dean of the Faculty of Biology Thoktasin Abdurahmonov, as well as university professors Mersaid Aripov, Bakridin Zaripov, Laziza Gafurova and other scientists were congratulated in event.
Yesterday, the QS World University Rankings, a prestigious analytical agency in the international education system, published a ranking of the most prestigious universities in the world in 2025. In this ranking, the National University of Uzbekistan ranked 781-790 and ranked among the TOP 1000 universities in the world.
NUUz ranked second in Central Asia in” foreign teachers share " and 200 among world universities. It also recorded 347th place in the” academic reputation “index, 540th place in the” employers reputation “index, and 559th place in the "alumni success" indicators.
Also, the National University of Uzbekistan occupies prestigious positions in a number of international rankings of the world. Including WURI 101-200 places (World Innovation University Ranking), QS Asia regional ranking 301st, QS by Subject 451st (mathematics science), the Impact rankings +1001st (Sustainable Development ranking).
The National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek five years ago determined its strategy for obtaining a place among the top 1000 universities of the world.
