NUUz ranks among the TOP-600 universities in the world in the field of physics

Today, international rankings are an important tool for determining the competitiveness of higher education institutions on a global scale. The National University of Uzbekistan, which is achieving high results in the field of science and innovative research, has received another international recognition.

Today, January 22, the results of the THE World University Ranking in the field of science were announced. The National University of Uzbekistan took part in this ranking for the first time and ranked 601-800th in the world in the field of physics.

For reference, this year, more than 1,400 universities from 107 countries are included in the ranking in the field of science.

Evaluation criteria for ranking in physical sciences:

• Education: criteria related to the learning environment – 26.8%;

• Research environment: volume, income and reputation – 26.5%;

• Research quality: strength, impact and excellence – 35.2%;

• International scope: staff, students and research – 7.5%;

• Industry: income and patents – 4%.

This achievement will further strengthen the reputation of NUUz in the international arena, increase the interest of foreign students and scientists, and create broad opportunities for attracting international grants and investments.
