The Uzbek-Chinese Center for Socio-Economic Research is being established in cooperation between the National University of Uzbekistan and Renmin University

A delegation led by Zhi Xiaoqian, Vice President of Beijing’s Renmin University, visited the National University of Uzbekistan. Professor Inom Madjidov, Rector of the National University of Uzbekistan, met and held talks with the foreign guests.

During the meeting, discussions were held on establishing a joint Uzbek-Chinese Center for Socio-Economic Research to integrate China’s “Belt and Road” initiative with the New Uzbekistan – 2030 strategy, as well as the project developed for this purpose.

The center, aimed at studying effective management methods and technologies based on the experience of Chinese universities, developing startup projects in various areas, holding a forum of young researchers, and jointly developing tourism opportunities in the regions of Uzbekistan such as Khavast, Zaamin, Arnasay, and Farish, will serve to strengthen scientific and cultural ties between the two countries and the two universities in the future.

Komil Inakov, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, has been appointed as the coordinator of this center by the National University of Uzbekistan. Based on the received proposals, an agreement was reached to enrich and expand the project.

For information, in 2022, a memorandum was signed with NUUz and Renmin University, within the framework of cooperation, professors and teachers are invited to the educational process, student exchanges are organized, international conferences are held in cooperation.
