NUUz scientists at an international meeting on the safety of journalists

On June 26-27, scientists and researchers from the Faculty of Journalism took part in a regional event in Almaty on the safety of journalists in Central Asia. The event was organized by the OSCE Office for Freedom of the Media. Speakers and experts, as well as journalists, bloggers, representatives of various media organizations and NGOs discussed issues of digital and psychological safety. Successful strategies and modern risk mitigation tools to prevent cyber attacks were presented. Participants learned the skills of reducing traces on the Internet and ensuring mobile security. A separate session was devoted to the safety of women journalists on the Internet. Representatives of the media communities of Central Asian countries exchanged successful experiences in monitoring and preventing online violence against women journalists. Participants of the event also got acquainted with new tools for media literacy and artificial intelligence.
