On February 11-13 of this year, the final stage of the “Universiade-2024” republican wrestling competition was held at Karshi State University.

More than 200 athletes from the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the city of Tashkent, and the regions participated in the competition, where boys competed in 7 weight categories and girls in 8 weight categories.

In the competition, which was accompanied by endless applause from fans and intense moments, each participant demonstrated their skills, physical fitness, and experience.

It is gratifying that in the intense final stage, students of the Faculty of Taekwondo and Sports Activities of the National University of Uzbekistan worthily defended the honor of our university and took the honorable places.

In particular, second-year student Bunyod Jabborov (60 kg) took 1st place, and first-year student Diyora Namozova (48 kg) took 3rd place.

Students of the Faculty of Taekwondo and Sports Activities, Venera Samandarova (52 kg) and Shakhrizoda Amirkulova (78 kg), also took part in the competitions.

The university team sincerely congratulates the students who won and actively participated in the final, as well as the teacher and coach of the Faculty of Taekwondo and Sports Activities, Amirkhon Atanazarov.
