At the initiative of the Department of Legal Sciences of the Faculty of Social Sciences, a Republican scientific and practical conference was held on the topic “The Constitution is a guarantee of human dignity, freedom, equality and justice”.

The event discussed the role of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan in a new stage of democratic reforms, reforms in the judicial and legal system, the constitutional foundations of human rights and freedoms, and issues of environmental sustainability. Special attention was also paid to the content and essence of norms related to education, science, and youth policy.

During the conference, scientific opinions were expressed on the path of development of our country as a legal state based on the rule of law, the constitutional foundations of social policy, and the principle of secularism in state governance.

The event was attended by university leadership, vice-rectors of the field, representatives of law enforcement agencies, legal scholars, professors and teachers of higher educational institutions, doctoral students, independent researchers, master’s students and talented students with their scientific reports.

This conference was dedicated to Constitution Day and served to strengthen the scientific approach to political and legal reforms, raise the legal awareness of citizens, and widely promote the place of the Constitution in the life of society and the state.
