The Tashkent Literary Forum was organized for the third time by the Department of Russian Literature at the National University of Uzbekistan.
The forum was dedicated to the 225th anniversary of A.S. Pushkin, as well as the 75th anniversary of the Uzbek literary scholar, specialist in foreign literature Munira Nizamova.
The forum was attended by literary scholars, scientists, famous creators working in the republic, literary scholars from the USA, Russia, Czech Republic, Armenia, as well as researchers from the Faculty of Journalism and Uzbek Philology, students and youth.
The purpose of this event is to unite Uzbek and foreign literary scholars, literary critics, writers and poets, and to widely involve creative youth in research.
At the plenary session, the great scientific contribution of the candidate of philological sciences, associate professor Munira Nizomova to the development of foreign literary studies in Uzbekistan was recognized, congratulatory words were read on her birthday. The second part of the plenary session was devoted to the topic of Pushkin studies in Uzbekistan and Pushkin’s translations into Uzbek.
The sections of the forum discussed the problems of modern Uzbek literary studies, Eastern, Uzbek, Western European and Russian literature.
