The experience of NUUz in entering international rankings will be applied to the practice of universities of Karakalpakstan

On August 15, a meeting was held at Karakalpak State University dedicated to improving positions in international rankings, bringing research work and the quality of education in line with international standards. Within the framework of the event, important agreements were reached on establishing a strategic partnership with the National University of Uzbekistan.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Kongratbay Sharipov, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Karakalpakstan Amanzhol Ayapov, the Rector of the National University of Uzbekistan Inom Madjidov, the Rector of Karakalpak State University Akhmed Reymov, as well as leading professors and teachers.

Rector A. Reymov spoke in detail about the university’s priority areas for achieving a worthy place in international rankings, the ongoing reforms, and the achievements. In particular, the publication of articles in international scientific databases, the introduction of joint educational programs with foreign universities, the expansion of opportunities for academic exchange, and the development of scientific cooperation were noted as urgent tasks of today.

Minister K. Sharipov emphasized the comprehensive measures being taken at the state level to promote Uzbekistan’s higher education institutions internationally and develop science and innovation. He also defined strategic tasks for stimulating the scientific activity of professors, teachers, and students, expanding cooperation with prestigious scientific centers abroad, and improving the quality of education.

Rector I. Madjidov shared the experience and achievements of the National University of Uzbekistan in achieving international rankings. He described in detail the possibilities and prospects of applying this experience in the practice of Karakalpak State University.

As a result, the parties agreed to implement joint scientific projects, seminars and trainings, international scientific and practical conferences, and educational and methodological exchanges. It was noted that this cooperation will serve to strengthen the position of Karakalpak State University in international rankings, raise the quality of education to a new level, and increase the scientific potential of the region.
