Professors and teachers of the National University of Uzbekistan participated in the National Forum held within the framework of the PRESETT program

In today’s globalization environment, large-scale reforms are being implemented in Uzbekistan aimed at improving the system of teaching foreign languages ​​to young people. In particular, the British Council Office in Uzbekistan is consistently working to modernize the system of training future English teachers (PRESETT) in the country, as well as to support the professional network of English teachers.

To this end, on January 6-7, 2026, a National Forum was organized on the basis of the PRESETT system in cooperation with the British Council. Representatives of more than 50 state and non-state higher education institutions operating in Uzbekistan and training future English teachers participated in the forum.

During the event, priority areas of modernization of the PRESETT system, existing problems and difficulties were discussed. Various interactive master classes were also held by leading experts in the field.

Professors and teachers of the Faculty of Foreign Philology of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek also actively participated in this National Forum, gaining important knowledge and skills in the effective use of modern educational technologies and artificial intelligence in teaching foreign languages.
