Expected results and their significance: As a result of the creation of an electronic guide to the funds of the history of Uzbekistan relating to the history of the Turkestan ASSR, BPSR, KhPSR and the history of the Uzbek SSR (until 1945) with the help of the practical project “Digital Archive: Creation of an online guide to the funds of the National Archives of Uzbekistan " expected:

• The guide will be translated into Uzbek, Russian and English based on the concept of History of Uzbekistan;

• An electronic search system will be launched to use the guide through the internal network;

• a scientific reference apparatus will be formed, consisting of official documents, dissertations, monographs on the history of the Soviet era and the history of state institutions

• an international online conference “Digital archives in Uzbekistan: achievements and problems” will be organized;

• The guidebook data will be placed for use in the internal network of the National Archives of Uzbekistan.

• At the end of the project, digital copies of 100000 archival documents of the Museum of works and monuments of antiquity, art and nature protection of the Republic of Turkestan of fund P-394 (Turkomstaris) stored in the National Archives of Uzbekistan will be created and metadata will be processed;

• Copies of digitized archival documents are posted on the internal network of the National Archives of Uzbekistan for use by researchers;

Also, a useful aspect of this guide from a socio-economic point of view is that it can be used not only by research scientists and applicants, but also by ordinary citizens of our republic (users of archival documents).

This will enable every citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan to receive detailed information and get acquainted with the history of Uzbekistan of the Soviet period, namely the history of the Turkestan ASSR, BPSR, KhPSR and archival funds of Uzbekistan in 1924-1945.

Important results achieved during the reporting period (at the end of the project): Due to the fact that the practical project began on 06/01/2022, at the moment, tests of existing guidebooks are being edited at National Archives of Uzbekistan and technical work is underway to create digital copies of 100000 archival documents of museum works and monuments of antiquity, art and nature conservation fund P-394 (Turkomstaris), stored in the archive.
