Valeria Evgenievna Cheryaevskaya, a scientist who is among the Top 100 linguists of the world, professor of Saint Petersburg Polytechnic University, attended the National University of Uzbekistan at the invitation of the Department of English Linguistics of the Faculty of Foreign Philology.
The Russian linguist shared his experience and knowledge in the field of “Text Linguistics” with master’s students in the specialty “Linguistics (English) ” and “Foreign Language and Literature (English) ” on the main trends in text linguistics, problems in translation, and his advanced scientific works.
“Text as a unit of communication and a unit of translation. The main trends of text linguistics” were also attended by faculty professors, young scientists and doctoral students.
