M. Kurbanov has made significant contributions to the improvement and development of didactic functions in semiconductor physics, physics teaching methods, and the didactic functions of physics experiments in continuing education, having published over 300 scientific articles. More than 70 of these have been published in prestigious scientific journals abroad. Copyrights for 12 software products have been obtained.
M. Kurbanov created his own school for the application of demonstration experiments in theoretical and experimental physics teaching in our republic.
M. Kurbanov has published approximately 50 textbooks, teaching aids, monographs, methodological manuals, and methodological recommendations. These include:
During his 53-year teaching career, Professor M. Kurbanov authored the State Educational Standard for Bachelor’s Courses at Higher Education Institutions, Master’s Programs, and Curricula, as well as more than 50 monographs, textbooks, and methodological manuals, including “Theoretical Foundations of Expanding the Methodological Functions of Demonstration Experiments in Physics” (2008), the monographs “Selected Works” (2007), and the Physics textbook for university students “Theoretical Foundations of Teaching” (2008), Scientific publications such as “Methodology of using pedagogical software in teaching physics” (2012), “Problems for the Physics Olympiad” (1990), “Using computer technologies in teaching physics” (2011), “A set of problems from the general course of physics” (2008, 4 parts: mechanics, molecular physics, electricity and optics), “Introduction to conductivity physics” (2016), “Lasers and their applications” have received positive reviews from the scientific community.
For his many years of work, contribution to the development of scientific and educational spheres, and active participation in public life, he was awarded faculty and university certificates. He chaired the jury of district, city, and national physics olympiads. Given the high level of their organization, he received certificates from the Ministry of Public Education, certificates from the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as letters of gratitude from the Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Chirchik Higher Engineering and Technical School of Tank Command.
M. Kurbanov is involved in one fundamental and two applied research and innovation projects at the national level:
M. Kurbanov State Scientific and Technical Program K-12-004 “Composite Nanomaterials: Synthesis and Development of Elements with Predetermined Physical Properties” (2015-2017);
PZ-20170929192 “Study of Textile Material Modification Processes Using Nanosuspensions and Development of Technology for Obtaining Nanomodified Textile Materials with Biocidal Properties” (2017-2020);
AM-PZ-2019062031 Development of Multimedia Textbooks for Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Nuclear Energy, Nuclear Medicine and Technology, and Radiation Medicine and Technology (2018-2022).
Under M. Kurbanov’s supervision, more than 60 master’s and five doctoral dissertations have been successfully defended. He currently conducts research as a supervisor and advisor for two doctoral students and five postgraduate students working as independent researchers.
