Currently, the head of the department is Associate Professor, PhD Kuziev Sherali Nasrulloevich. He was born in 1987. In 2005, he entered the Biological Faculty of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek and completed his bachelor’s degree in 2009. In 2009, he entered the master’s program at the Department of Biochemistry of the Biological Faculty and successfully completed his studies in 2011. From 2011 to the present day, he has been working in this department. In 2020, Kuziev Sh.N. defended his dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Biological Sciences (PhD) on the topic “Age-related changes in the functional state of rat mitochondria and the effect of plant-based drugs on them” in the specialty 03.00.01 – “Biochemistry (biological sciences)”. During his scientific activity under the supervision of Kuziev Sherali Nasrulloevich, more than 15 graduation works were completed. The result of scientific research of Kuziev Sherali Nasrulloevich were more than 35 scientific publications, including 15 scientific articles in prestigious republican journals, more than 15 theses and articles were published at international and republican scientific conferences.
