Islambek Mirzabaevich Saymanov currently works as an Associate Professor in the Information Security Department of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Intellectual Technologies at Mirzo Ulugbek National University in Uzbekistan.
Education
I.M. Saymanov completed his bachelor’s degree in 2016 and his master’s degree in 2018 at Mirzo Ulugbek National University in Uzbekistan.
In 2023, he received his PhD in Physics and Mathematics, specializing in “Methods and Systems of Information Security. Information Security.”
In 2025, he received the title of Associate Professor, specializing in “Methods and Systems of Information Security. Information and Cybersecurity.”
Research Activities and Areas of Interest
Islambek Mirzabaevich Saymanov conducts research in the fields of information security, Internet of Things (IoT) security, cryptography, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.
He has authored over 50 research papers, one textbook, and two manuals, and has participated in several research projects. He has also reviewed articles in the journals Internet of Things (Elsevier, Q1), Journal of Information Security and Applications (Elsevirt, Q1), Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence (Elsevier, Q1), Alexandria Engineering Journal (Elsevier, Q1), and IEEE ACCESS (IEEE, Q2) published by IEEE, as well as in the journals Mathematics (MDPI, Q1), Symmetry (MDPI, Q2), Cryptography (MDPI, Q1), Telecom (MDPI, Q2), and Sensors (MDPI, Q2) published by MDPI.
He also successfully completed the World Bank-funded English for Science course in 2025.

He is currently a participant in the Erasmus+ CBHE CYBER4CA program – Development of an Innovative PhD Program in Cybersecurity for the Central Asian Digital Labor Market (2025-2028).

He is the project manager for the practical project “AL-9424104925 – Mathematical and Algorithmic Intelligent Methods for Monitoring the Biological State of an Ecological System (using the Aral Sea Polygon as an Example)”, funded by the Innovation Agency under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation.
