G.Kh.Kholbaev From December 1, 1988, was admitted to the preparatory course of the Tashkent State University (now the National University of Uzbekistan), and in 1989, after successfully completing it, he was admitted to the 1st year of the Faculty of Physics. He graduated in 1994. While still a student, on April 1, 1994, he was hired as an engineer in the “Agricultural Meteorology” department of the Hydrometeorological Research Institute (HRI) affiliated to the Hydrometeorological Service Center (Uzgidromet) under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In 1996, he was transferred to the position of a junior researcher. From 1998 to 1999, he was a full-time graduate student of HRI graduate school, and in 2000 he was a part-time graduate student.
In 2002, he defended his candidate’s dissertation on the topic “Assessment of agrometeorological conditions of the growth and productivity of rice in Uzbekistan (Assessment of agrometeorological conditions of the rate of development and formation of productivity growth in Uzbekistan)” and was awarded the scientific degree of candidate of geography sciences, in 2006 he was awarded the title of “Senior Researcher”.
In the period of 2000-2002, the scientific worker of HRI AM also worked in 2002 as the deputy director for scientific affairs in the temporary administrative-management apparatus, and then as a senior scientific worker. From 2004 to 2013, he worked as a senior researcher in the Department of Agroclimatic Resources and Agroecological Monitoring of GMITI.
