On September 23, 2023, a delegation from V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, consisting of Rector Tatyana Kaganovskaya, Vice-Rector for International Relations Zarif Nazirov, and the representative of Kharkiv National University in Uzbekistan, Maxkam Rasulbayev, visited the National University of Uzbekistan (NUUz). The guests were welcomed by Raima Shirinova, the Vice-Rector for International Relations at NUUz, Yoqubjon Ergashev, the Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, Shaxnoza Kadirova, the Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry, and G‘olibjon Yoziyev, the Head of the International Cooperation Organization Department.

It is known that NUUz signed a memorandum of cooperation with this university in 2021, and based on this agreement, doctoral students from NUUz have enhanced their qualifications at Kharkiv National University and returned.

During the meeting, Rector Tatyana Kaganovskaya expressed the intention to continue collaboration in new directions. In particular, discussions took place about collaborating across interdisciplinary fields, writing scientific articles, and participating in scientific projects in promising areas. Additionally, proposals for creating joint projects within the framework of the Arizona Europe programs were considered. Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, Yoqubjon Ergashev, specifically highlighted the achievements of Kharkiv National University in natural sciences and proposed organizing an online meeting with representatives of this field.

The meeting also reached agreements on preparing a project for the ERASMUS program, which is expected to be announced in November of the current year.
