Register to participate in the “For Compatriots” state grant competition!

According to the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. F–43 dated July 18, 2025, “On approving the parameters of the state admission quota for enrollment in state higher education institutions,” 30 state grants have been allocated for young compatriots residing abroad who wish to study in the fields of Uzbek language and literature, history, culture, arts, and crafts.

Applications for participation in the “For Compatriots” state grant competition are accepted until October 10, 2025.
Applicants must submit their documents in RAR format via email to vatandosh@nuu.uz.

🔹 Eligibility criteria for applicants:
a) The candidate themselves, or their parents/close relatives, must be:

  • a foreign citizen or stateless person who identifies as Uzbek or Karakalpak from an ethnic, linguistic, and cultural-historical perspective;

  • or a person born and formerly residing in Uzbekistan, but currently residing permanently abroad;

b) Must be registered as an applicant for one of the bachelor’s degree programs approved by the State Commission for the Admission of Foreign Citizens to Educational Institutions of Uzbekistan and recommended for enrollment based on the results of an interview;

c) Must be under 30 years of age;

d) Must have knowledge of the Uzbek language.

🔹 Special selection exams will be conducted based on the subjects corresponding to the chosen bachelor’s program:

a) For programs that include professional (creative) exams — the selected higher education institution will administer the professional/creative exam;

b) For candidates nominated by higher education institutions — the Knowledge and Skills Assessment Agency will administer testing;

c) For programs with entrance exams in test format — tests will be conducted by the Knowledge and Skills Assessment Agency.

Based on the results of these special exams, candidates with the highest scores, within the quota for each program, will be awarded state grants.
