A republican scientific conference dedicated to the International Day of Mathematics was held

 

The Faculty of Mathematics of the National University of Uzbekistan, the Institute of Mathematics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Mathematical Society of Uzbekistan jointly held a republican scientific conference of young scientists dedicated to the International Day of Mathematics on the topic “Current Problems and Applications of Modern Mathematics”. The opening ceremony of the conference was attended by the President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Academician Sh.A. Ayupov, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovations of the university, Professor Y.S. Ergashov, Deputy Director of the V.I. Romanovsky Institute of Mathematics, Academician O.A. Rozikov, as well as professors, teachers, young scientists, doctoral students and master’s students.

🔺This scientific conference was organized on the occasion of March 14 – International Day of Mathematics. This date is celebrated all over the world as Mathematics Day in connection with the approximate value of one of the famous constants of mathematics, the number π (pi) – 3.14. The conference serves as an important scientific platform for young researchers to present their scientific results, exchange experiences, and establish new scientific partnerships.

🔺Young scientists, doctoral students, master’s students, and talented students in various fundamental and applied areas of mathematics participated in the conference with their scientific works. Also, the winners of the Mathematics Olympiad among students of school No. 249 in the Almazar district, attached to the Faculty of Mathematics, were awarded certificates of honor and souvenirs from the Mathematical Society of Uzbekistan.
