The JDS (scholarship for human resources development) program has been implemented in Uzbekistan since 1999. To date, 425 scholarship holders have been trained in Japan under this program. The program accepts candidates for participation in 2-year master’s degree programs in English at various universities in Japan for the academic years 2025-2027. It is planned to send 18 participants each year.
Eligibility Requirements:
Age: be between 25 and 40 years of age as of April 1, 2025 (born between April 2, 1984 and April 1, 2000).
Education: have a Bachelor’s degree from a University recognized by the Government of Uzbekistan.
Work Experience: currently working full time in the target organizations and have at least 2 years of experience in these organizations at the time of application.
English language level: have good written and oral English language skills. IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL 500-550 or equivalent is desirable but not mandatory.
Application Process:
Applications will be accepted from candidates recommended by the target organizations. The list of recommendations must be delivered to the JDS office via email or in person by 5:00 p.m. on October 31, 2024.
Selection Process:
– Acceptance of applications and verification of documents.
– English and math examinations.
– Interviews with professors from Japanese universities.
– Final decision by the selection committee.
