“Meeting of Three Generations” Held at the National University of Uzbekistan Named After Mirzo Ulugbek

Today, on May 25, a cultural and educational event titled “Meeting of Three Generations” was organized at the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek in cooperation with the “Nuroniy” Foundation for supporting the social activities of veterans of Uzbekistan. The meeting was held to educate the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism and to establish a live dialogue between the elderly with rich life experience and the vibrant youth.
The Rector of the university, Inomjon Madjidov, opened the event with an introductory speech, emphasizing that the gathering of three generations in one circle plays a significant role in ensuring spiritual continuity. The main guest of the meeting was the Hero of Uzbekistan, Senator, and Chairman of the Republican Board of the “Nuroniy” Foundation, Sodiqjon Turdiyev. Labor veterans, representatives of state and public organizations, and honorary professors and teachers of the university were also invited to the event.
During the dialogue, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan Abdulla Azamov, well-known journalist Ahmadjon Meliboyev, and prominent scientists of the university — Mersaid Aripov, Nigina Shermuhammedova, Nemat Narkulov, and Khurshid Toshov — delivered speeches. They spoke about their life paths, the challenges and triumphs in the field of science, and encouraged students to be dedicated to the development of the country.
On behalf of the youth, Durdona Habibullayeva, a graduate student of the Faculty of Geology and Engineering Geology, expressed gratitude for the respect shown to the elderly and the opportunities created for the youth. In the final part of the event, an open dialogue and a Q&A session took place between the invited guests and the students, during which students received detailed answers to their questions from mentors rich in life experience.
