On November 21-22 of this year, the Council of the Tashkent city branch of the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers of Uzbekistan held sports competitions “Sport – a guarantee of health” among professors and teachers of higher educational institutions in Tashkent.

These competitions are dedicated to November 11 – “Day of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan” and are organized in order to increase the interest of professors, teachers and employees of higher educational institutions in physical culture and mass sports, to promote a healthy lifestyle among them.

The faculty and staff of the National University of Uzbekistan took a worthy part in it in mini-football, chess, checkers, table tennis, darts and badminton and took a number of honorable places:

– Khurriyat Khudoykulova, senior lecturer of the Faculty of Mathematics, took 1st place in women’s chess;

– In table tennis among women, Dilrabo Umurkulova, a teacher of the Faculty of Taekwondo and Sports Activity, took 2nd place;

– In badminton among men, Bekhzod Kuchkarov, a teacher of the Faculty of Taekwondo and Sports Activity, took 2nd place;

– Mirzohid Rakhmatillayev, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Taekwondo and Sports Activity, took 2nd place in men’s table tennis;

– Senior teacher of the Faculty of Taekwondo and Sports Activity Umorbek Rakhimov took 3rd place in men’s chess;

– Nargiza Shermukhamedova, a trainee teacher of the Faculty of Taekwondo and Sports Activity, took 3rd place in women’s badminton;

– Zilola Fatkhullayeva, head of the department of the Faculty of Geology and Engineering Geology, took 3rd place in the sport of darts among women.

Also, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Taekwondo and Sports Activity Ulugbek Karimov was recognized as the winner in the category of “Best Shooter” in the sport of darts.

All winners and prize-winners of the competitions were awarded diplomas and valuable prizes by the Council of the Tashkent city branch of the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers of Uzbekistan.
