On 30 October 2026, the regular meeting of the University Council was held at the National University of Uzbekistan. The meeting provided an opportunity for a comprehensive discussion of key issues relating to the university’s academic, research and administrative activities.

The meeting commenced with a review of measures aimed at strengthening the university’s human resource capacity. Following consideration, 12 candidates, including 4 professors and 8 associate professors, were recommended for the award of the respective academic titles.

The meeting also approved relevant amendments to the composition of the University Council. In accordance with the agenda, a comprehensive review was conducted of the implementation of the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan on education, presidential decrees and resolutions, Cabinet of Ministers regulations, ministerial directives, as well as the handling of citizens’ appeals. In addition, a report was presented on the measures being taken to promote employment and facilitate the job placement of graduates of the 2025/2026 academic year.

During the meeting, a number of regulatory documents and administrative matters aimed at further improving the university’s operations were also thoroughly discussed. In particular, the procedures for recruiting academic staff, approval of departmental regulations, and the payment of additional remuneration to employees holding academic degrees and engaged in research and academic activities were considered.

Furthermore, regulations governing the activities of the Education Quality Assurance Department and the education quality assurance committees at the faculties were approved. The meeting also addressed the issuance of publication certificates for educational materials prepared by the university’s academic staff.

At the conclusion of the meeting, relevant resolutions were adopted on all items included in the agenda.
