The long-standing multifaceted cooperation with Germany’s leading higher education institutions is yielding significant results. Most notably, the partnership with the Free University of Berlin (Freie Universität Berlin)—one of the world’s most prestigious research institutions—is reaching a new qualitative milestone.
On April 21, Tobias Stüdemann, Director of the University’s Liaison Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, visited the National University of Uzbekistan (NUUz). The visit aimed to evaluate the progress of current Erasmus+ and student exchange programs while exploring new avenues for expansion.

Key Highlights of the Negotiations:
Enhanced Academic Mobility: Strengthening frameworks to significantly increase the number of students and researchers participating in exchange programs in Germany.
Scientific Integration: Opening new frontiers for collaborative grant projects and joint research initiatives.
Knowledge Sharing: Establishing a series of specialized online webinars and workshops led by Tobias Stüdemann for NUUz faculty and young researchers throughout the year.
The meeting also resulted in a roadmap for an upcoming visit by distinguished professors from the Free University of Berlin to NUUz, further cementing the academic ties between the two institutions.
