On March 27-28, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation held a forum of rectors of Uzbek-Korean higher education institutions at the Tashkent State University of Economics, and a number of memorandums were signed within the framework of the forum. On March 29, 2023, the representative of Kyungpook University of the Republic of Korea, the dean of the Faculty of Strategy and Finance, Gang Heong Lee, visited our university in order to determine the implementation directions of the memorandum signed with the National University of Uzbekistan.

The main purpose of the visit is to organize scientific-practical conferences within the framework of cooperation, to activate general scientific research, to conclude agreements on academic mobility of students, to support initiatives related to scientific activity.

During the meeting, the vice-rector of the National University of Uzbekistan, Shirinova Raima Hakimovna, said that in recent years, a new stage of cooperation with the universities of the Republic of Korea has been entered into, and the Uzbekistan-Korea education, which was organized on a large scale in Tashkent yesterday, is a clear proof of this. specially acknowledged the cooperation steps taken in the forum. He also emphasized that Kyungpook University students would be happy to participate in the summer school organized for foreign students at the National University of Uzbekistan every year and gave detailed information about the opportunities created for them.

At the end of the meeting, strategic plans with the goal of prospective cooperation between the two universities were defined.
