Today, December 12, a delegation led by Vice President of Beijing Renmin University Zhi Xiaoqiang visited Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan.
The foreign partners were received by the university administration headed by Rector of the National University of Uzbekistan Mr. In Majidov.
“It is known that a memorandum has been signed with the university in 2022, which invites faculty members for training, student exchanges and joint international conferences.”
During today’s meeting, the parties discussed the creation of a joint Uzbek-Chinese Center for Socio-Economic Research to integrate China’s “One Road – One Space” initiative and the new Uzbekistan-2030 Development Strategy, as well as the project developed for the main areas of the center’s activities.
The center, aimed at implementing a number of tasks, such as studying effective management methods and technologies based on the experience of Chinese universities, developing startup projects in various directions, holding a forum for young researchers, joint development of tourism opportunities in the regions of Uzbekistan such as Havas, Zomin, Arnasay, Forish, will contribute to the further development of scientific and cultural ties between the two states and the two universities.
As a result of the meeting, the parties appointed K. Inakov, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, as the coordinator of the Center and agreed to enhance and expand the project based on the presented proposals.
