On May 5, 2025, at the invitation of the Vice-Rector of Comenius University in Bratislava Josef Tanser, an online meeting was organized with employees of the International Relations Department of the National University of Uzbekistan.

It is known that Comenius University is one of leading higher education institutions in Slovakia and has a great experience in training qualified specialists in social sciences, management, medicine, natural sciences, mathematics, physics and sports education.

During the meeting a number of issues on further development of cooperation between the two sides were discussed. In particular, they considered academic exchange programs, exchange of teachers and administrative personnel, implementation of joint scientific projects, organization of academic seminars, short-term educational programs and active participation in them.

They also reached an agreement on holding international scientific conferences and joint preparation of scientific and educational publications.

At the end of the meeting, Josef Tanser, Vice-Rector for International Relations of Comenius University and Martin Povazan, Head of the Department of International Relations, proposed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two universities. It is expected that this meeting will serve as a solid basis for bilateral cooperation to reach a new level and achieve effective results in the future.
