Today, a “Leader and Youth” meeting was held at the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek with the participation of the Governor of Tashkent region, Zoir Toirovich Mirzayev, and was organized at a high level.
The main goal of the event, held on the occasion of Youth Day, was to ensure employment for graduating students, support them, and encourage their proposals and initiatives through open dialogue with young people.
The event was opened by the Rector of the university, Inom Urishevich Madjidov. In his speech, he particularly highlighted the ongoing efforts at the university to ensure graduate employment and equip students with modern knowledge and skills.

After that, the Governor of Tashkent region, Zoir Toirovich Mirzayev, delivered a speech emphasizing that ensuring youth employment in the region, creating new jobs, and helping every graduate find достойная работа are priority tasks.
During the meeting, an open dialogue with young people was organized. Students asked questions of interest and received practical and meaningful answers.
According to available data, a total of 1,289 graduating students permanently residing in the Tashkent region are studying at the university. Of them, 1,200 are bachelor’s students and 89 are master’s students.
Currently, 624 of these graduates have been employed, demonstrating the effectiveness of systematic efforts in this direction. As part of the event, 118 more graduates were ceremonially awarded certificates confirming their employment in enterprises and organizations of the Tashkent region.
Additionally, within the framework of the event, a cooperation memorandum was signed between the university and the Tashkent regional administration aimed at organizing student internships, ensuring graduate employment, and regularly holding “Career Day” job fairs.
This cooperation plays an important role in ensuring youth employment, supporting their professional development, and preparing qualified specialists for the regional economy.
