An Excursion to the State Museum of the Memory of Victims of Repression Was Organized for NUUz Students

Today, on September 5, a delegation from the National University of Uzbekistan, led by Rector Professor Inom Majidov and consisting of university staff, faculty members, and students, visited the “Shahidlar xotirasi” Memorial Complex and the State Museum of the Memory of Victims of Repression in Tashkent.

The event began with a roundtable discussion in front of the museum building, where Rector Inom Majidov, Museum Director Baxtiyor Hasanov, Dean of the Faculty of History Alisher Muminov, Professor Zamira Ishanxodjaeva, and the museum’s Chief Researcher Bahrom Irzaev delivered speeches. They spoke about the tragic consequences of the repressive years, the bravery of the nation’s patriots, and the importance of such commemorative events.

After the discussion, students explored the memorial complex and museum exhibits, including historical documents, personal belongings, photographs, and other archival materials. These artifacts serve as clear evidence of one of the most painful periods in the country’s history — the years of repression.

The visit left a lasting impression on the students, both academically and spiritually. It served to further strengthen their sense of respect for national memory and loyalty to the Motherland.
