Rector of the National University of Uzbekistan participates in the events of the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conferenc

Samarkand is currently hosting the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference. Within the framework of this prestigious international forum, meetings, dialogues, and scientific and practical discussions are held in various directions.

Today, November 4, within the framework of the session, an important event was held – a presentation dedicated to the ratification of the “Global Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education.” The rector of the National University of Uzbekistan, Professor Inom Madjidov, also took part in it.

At the event, issues of further rapprochement of the higher education system around the world, expanding the international academic mobility of students and specialists, as well as strengthening mechanisms for mutual recognition of qualifications acquired in different countries were discussed.

The ratification of this convention opens new opportunities in the field of higher education not only for Uzbekistan, but also for the entire Central Asian region. This will allow our youth to study in foreign educational institutions, engage in scientific activities, and be competitive in the international labor market.
