Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

On November 25, the global community emphasizes the importance of protecting women and girls from all forms of violence. This date reminds us that the safety, dignity, and equal rights of women are the foundation of sustainable development.

According to the UN, one in three women worldwide has experienced violence at least once.
Many cases remain hidden due to fear, addiction, and social stereotypes.
Effectively combating violence requires the efforts of the state, society, families, and every individual.

In this regard, the Department of Social Work of the Faculty of Social Sciences held a thematic educational event to discuss protecting the rights of women and children, preventing violence, providing assistance to victims, and strengthening public accountability.

No to violence!
Women’s safety is the foundation of the future.
