Today, on July 1, the next meeting of the University Council was held at the National University of Uzbekistan, during which a number of important issues related to various areas were considered.

First, the Chairman of the Council, Rector Inom Madjidov, congratulated everyone on the university’s inclusion in the top 1,000 higher education institutions and raising its global position to a high level. The results of the “QS World University Rankings–2026” were analyzed. Future work was determined.

The activities of the University’s Academic and Methodological Council and issues of improving the efficiency of the council’s work in the 2024/2025 academic year were considered. Information was heard on the results of the activities of the university departments in the 2024/2025 academic year, and proposals were made to improve their quality of education and scientific activity.

Also, issues such as attracting students who have not mastered the course to re-study, effectively organizing the transfer process, and the procedure for issuing a publication certificate for educational literature prepared by professors and teachers were raised.

The issue of recommendations for academic titles and positions was considered. At this council, 4 candidates were recommended for the title of professor and 6 for the title of associate professor.
At the end of the council, relevant decisions were made on all issues.
