Scientific supervisor: Abdrakhmanov Tokhtasin
Duration of execution: 01.05.2022-01.05.2023
The cipher of the project: IL 632204138
Project Type: Innovative
Expected results and their importance: The expected result of the project is a scientific justification for improving the properties of various degrees of saline soils of the dried bottom of the Aral Sea in conditions of low water and activation of the soil formation process through the use of various biological products. As a result, innovative measures for growing plants resistant to different levels and types of salinization will be developed on the dried-up bottom of the Aral Sea. The importance of the results obtained is that during the initial soil formation on the sandy bottom of the Aral Sea, the following soil properties improve: humidity, physico-chemical properties, the activity of enzymes and microorganisms is restored, and as a result, it becomes possible for various plants to grow, which leads to the appearance of green spaces on the dried bottom of the Aral Sea. There is also a decrease in the evaporation of salts and moisture, an increase in the biodiversity of the area. Conditions are being created for the cultivation of various plants on several million hectares on the dried-up bottom of the Aral Sea, which allows them to be used in various industries.
Significant results obtained during the reporting period (at the end of the project): On the dried-up bottom of the Aral Sea, several innovative technologies were used aimed at reducing salt migration, maximizing the use of moisture, avoiding (preserving) from sunlight, increasing the microbiological and enzymatic activity of the soil, improving its physico-chemical properties.
As initial results, the growth of catalpa, garden pine, as well as seedlings of saxaul of different ages and plants of corn, alfalfa and amaranth was achieved on the dried bottom of the Aral Sea. The appearance of microorganisms living together around the roots of these plants and the restoration of enzyme activity has been achieved.
International scientific work based on web of science and Scopus, published within the framework of the project: This project began work in May 2022, the main results are planned to be received in November, and then it is planned to publish articles in international journals.
Project topics: The possibility of reuse of collector waters to identify salt–resistant varieties of pasture and hay lands and ways to improve soil properties using biological products on the drained bottom of the Aral Sea.
