The teaching staff of the Faculty of Geography and Geoinformation Systems of the National University of Uzbekistan took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference “DIGITAL REALITY: NEW VISIONS IN CARTOGRAPHY, GIS and RS”, organized on November 7-8, 2024 in Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan.

A meeting with the faculty of the Department of Cartography and Geoinformatics of KazSU was held, during which an exchange of views on modern trends in the field of geodesy, cartography, applied geodesy, theory of mathematical processing of geodetic measurements, GNSS and geodynamics took place.

Within the framework of the meeting and exchange of views with the staff of the Department of “Cartography and Geoinformatics”, activities were organized to familiarize with the material and technical base of the Department. Lecture halls and laboratories intended for teaching sciences related to geodesy, cartography, cadastre and GIS were visited.

The activities of the joint Kazakh-Chinese laboratory equipped with modern electronic geodetic instruments, GNSS technologies and unmanned aerial vehicles designed for the development of remote sensing technology were described in detail.

Joint work of professors-teachers of the Faculty of Geography and Natural Resources of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Faculty of Geography and Geographical Information Systems of Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan on writing scientific articles for journals indexed in Scopus, Web of Science and RSCI (RSCI) databases, as well as on the development of modern scientific projects. agreed.
