Today, March 18, an international scientific-practical conference on “Tolerance – A Guarantee of Peace, Civil Harmony, Interethnic and Interfaith Accord” was held at the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek.
This prestigious event was organized to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the Faculty of History and the 75th birthday of Rahbarxon Murtazaeva, Professor of the Department of “Modern History of Uzbekistan” and Chairperson of the “Olima” Association of Women of Uzbekistan.
At this international conference, discussions were held on various topics, including Uzbekistan’s historical significance as a land of tolerance, the role of the principle of tolerance in the 21st-century international arena, the importance of tolerance principles in the socio-political and spiritual life of Central Asia, particularly Uzbekistan, global attention to this issue, and other related matters.
The international conference was attended by many well-known scientists of the republic, foreign scientists from a number of foreign countries – Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Iran, France, Poland. The conference materials were published in book form in Uzbek, Russian, and English.
