Today, on May 31, a delegation from the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University visited the National University of Uzbekistan. The delegation included the university’s rector Rufat Azizov, rector’s advisor Tahir Mammadli, head of the Center for Work with International Students Sabina Aliyeva, and head of the Department for International Cooperation Projects and Industrial Relations Nazrin Shirinova.

The guests were welcomed by Jabbor Muhammadiev, Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work of the National University of Uzbekistan; Raima Shirinova, Vice-Rector for International Relations; Gofurjon Eshonqulov, Dean of the Faculty of Physics; Shahnoza Qodirova, Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry; Nodir Narziev, Head of the Department for Transformation of Educational Infrastructure; and Ulug‘bek Ohundadayev, Head of the Department for Work with International Students.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss cooperation between the two universities and sign a memorandum of cooperation. During the meeting, agreements were reached on student and faculty exchanges, co-authored publications, active collaboration in the fields of chemistry, geology, IT, and engineering, as well as exchange programs for bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral students within the framework of academic mobility.

At the end of the meeting, cooperation memorandums were signed between the two universities. In addition, the participation of students from the National University of Uzbekistan in the summer school organized by the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University was also discussed
