The National University of Uzbekistan, which is among the TOP-1000 universities, has risen by 60 places in the QS World University Rankings for 2026, ranking 721-730.
According to the results of the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, it has taken 201-300 places in 6 sustainable development goals, ranking among the top 300 universities in the world.
Today, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Kungirotboy Sharipov visited the National University of Uzbekistan on this occasion and congratulated the university team on these successful results.
The meeting was attended by the rector of the university, Inom Madjidov, vice-rectors, deans of faculties, heads of departments, heads of departments, professors and teachers, and scientists.
The Minister wished the National University of Uzbekistan to soon be among the most prestigious TOP-500 universities in the world, make a great contribution to the development of science and education, and achieve even greater success.

The Minister also proposed to provide appropriate support to higher educational institutions in the regions, based on the experience of the National University of Uzbekistan, to improve their results in the rankings.
This initiative was supported by the university team, and initially it was agreed to provide methodological and scientific support to this higher education institution in order to improve the international rankings of universities located in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, in particular, Karakalpak State University, and to systematically organize this cooperation.
