A significant spiritual and educational event was held at the National University of Uzbekistan under the slogan “Combating Ignorance Through Enlightenment.” The event was actively attended by university leadership, youth affairs officials, professors, and students.
The meeting featured speeches by Jabbor Muhammadiyev, First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work of the National University of Uzbekistan, and Jahongir Jabborov, Rector’s Advisor on Ensuring the Stability of the Socio-Spiritual Environment Among Students.
At the beginning of the event, an analytical video dedicated to the topic “Combating Ignorance Through Enlightenment” was shown, highlighting the negative consequences of extremism and radicalism, as well as the crucial role of enlightenment in societal progress. The video emphasized the importance of fostering healthy thinking among youth and strengthening their educational immunity against malicious ideologies.
Additionally, Matluba Qahhorova, Deputy Chairperson of the Committee on Religious Affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, spoke at the event. She shared her views on the modern manifestations of ignorance and extremism, the importance of countering them through education, improving religious literacy, and promoting pure Islamic values.
During the educational dialogue, special attention was given to shaping sound thinking among young people, protecting them from harmful ideologies, and raising them with respect for national and universal values.
Participants of the event exchanged views on the role of enlightenment in ensuring peace and stability in society and emphasized the importance of regularly organizing such meetings.
