Currently, professors and teachers of the Faculty of Biology and Ecology of the National University of Uzbekistan, a group of scientists are conducting an autumn scientific and practical expedition to the Aral Sea region.

As part of the expedition, work is underway to observe the movement of dust, salt, and sand rising from the dried bottom of the Aral Sea, natural geographical processes occurring in the Aral Sea region, and the phenomenon of desertification.
Currently, our scientists are studying the state of soils, vegetation cover, and ecological conditions in the section from the Muynak district to the sea, as well as the problems of preventing the movement of sand particles, and are searching for necessary measures and solutions to eliminate them.

Artemia, currently the only living creature inhabiting the Aral Sea region. It is considered a species of crustaceans belonging to the order Gillsopoda. Our scientists are also conducting scientific research on Artemia and its prospects. Laboratory analyses are being taken from seawater and the soils of this area.
Within the framework of this expedition, it is planned to conduct research aimed at studying changes in the state of ecosystems, soil, as well as biodiversity in the region.
