Today, on 14 November, a delegation led by Mr. Nakkharin Mektrairat, President of the Constitutional Court of the Kingdom of Thailand and former Chairman of the Association of Asian Constitutional Courts and Equivalent Institutions (AACC), visited the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek. The delegation was accompanied by Mr. Asqar Gafurov Boisovich, Deputy Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Shuhrat Toshmatov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of UzMU, together with the deans of relevant faculties and heads of departments.

At the beginning of the meeting, the parties became acquainted and exchanged information about the activities of the university and the international work of the Constitutional Court of the Kingdom of Thailand.

During the discussion, the sides focused on strengthening legal sciences, exchanging professional experience, discussing topics in international law, establishing cooperation between UzMU and higher education institutions of Thailand, involving professors and teachers in future internships, promoting academic mobility, as well as developing joint projects and programs.

At the conclusion of the meeting, following the proposal of the Rector of Thammasat University, coordinators were appointed from both sides to launch practical cooperation, and the parties agreed on the next steps of collaboration.
