A Cooperation Memorandum Signed Between the National University of Uzbekistan and Baku Engineering University

Today, on November 27, the rector of the National University of Uzbekistan, Inom Madjidov, received a delegation led by the rector of Baku Engineering University, Yagub Piriyev. The meeting was also attended by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Rahima Shirinova, as well as the deans of the Faculties of Chemistry and Economics.

During the conversation, the parties exchanged detailed information about the ongoing activities of the two higher education institutions, their achievements in recent years, and their priority goals in scientific and academic development. The meeting served as an effective platform for extensively discussing promising areas of bilateral cooperation.

In particular, the sides thoroughly discussed launching joint double-degree programs, expanding opportunities for academic mobility, involving professors and teachers as scientific supervisors for doctoral students, increasing the number of joint scientific publications in prestigious Scopus-indexed journals, and developing sustainable scientific cooperation initiatives in the fields of engineering, chemistry, and economics.

At the end of the meeting, the rectors signed a Memorandum of Understanding. It was noted that this document would serve as a solid foundation for implementing planned projects and elevating scientific, technical, and educational cooperation to a new level.
