On December 16, an online meeting of the Council of the Association of Eurasian Universities took place. The event, held at Moscow State University, was attended by the heads of leading higher educational institutions of Eurasia, including the Rector of the National University of Uzbekistan, Inom Madjidov.

During the meeting, participants discussed the role of higher education institutions in preserving historical memory, the influence of international rankings on the university image and student engagement, the role of universities in the context of globalization, and the results of university rankings.

At the meeting, the rector of NUUz, Inom Madjidov, spoke about the fact that universities, by the nature of their activities, are fundamental preservers of memory and traditions and play an important role in the development and transmission of knowledge, cultural heritage from generation to generation.

The rector also emphasized that the most important task of the Eurasian University Association at the present stage is to educate young people in the spirit of patriotism and develop effective pedagogical methods for this.
In conclusion, the participants discussed the issue of admitting the relevant universities to the Association of Eurasian Universities.
