On February 25, 2026, at the initiative of the Department of Russian Literary Studies of the Faculty of Journalism and Uzbek Philology of the National University of Uzbekistan, the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference “Young Philology of Uzbekistan — 2026” was organized. Students, master’s degree candidates, and young scholars from higher educational institutions of the republic and from abroad took an active part in the event.
For the first time, representatives of the University of West Bohemia (Plzeň), Osh State University, the South Kazakhstan Pedagogical University, as well as Samarkand State University named after Sharof Rashidov participated in the conference. Their participation further strengthened the conference’s standing within the framework of international academic cooperation.
The conference was dedicated to the юбилейные даты of Mikhail Bulgakov and Dmitry Likhachev. During the sessions, reports were delivered on topical issues of classical and modern literature, problems of linguistics, as well as theoretical and practical aspects of teaching methodology in philological disciplines. Academic discussions were also held.

Within the framework of the conference, the results of the traditional creative competition “Anor” for 2026 were announced. The competition was held in the categories of “Lyric Poetry,” “Prose,” “Translation,” “Essay Writing,” and “Creative Debut.” The winners and prize recipients were awarded diplomas and valuable gifts.
This scientific conference serves to support young researchers, encourage scholarly inquiry, and promote the development of international academic relations.
