A meeting was held between representatives of Nagoya University in Japan, led by President Sugiyama Naoshi, and the delegation of Uzbekistan. Nobel Laureate Professor Hiroshi Amano also participated in the meeting, which was aimed at developing cooperation in the fields of science and high technologies.

The Uzbek delegation included Yokub Ergashov, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovations of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek; Ravshan Musurmanov, Vice-Rector for Methodological Support and Education Quality Control; Nodirbek Hoshimov, Counselor for Education, Science, and Innovation at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan; and Siroj Azizov, Second Secretary of the Embassy.
During the negotiations, particular attention was paid to elevating the scientific and educational cooperation between Nagoya University and NUUz to a new level, establishing joint research projects, and strengthening student and faculty exchange programs.

As part of the visit, the NUUz representatives closely familiarized themselves with the activities of Nagoya University’s modern scientific laboratories and its information resource center (library), which boasts a rich collection.
