The delegation of our country, led by the Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva, participated in the 35th session of the UN Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice held in Vienna.
On June 1–2 of this year, the 35th session of the UN Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice took place in Vienna, the capital of Austria. Bringing together over 1,500 high-ranking officials and industry experts from 175 countries, this event marked a historic milestone in the foreign policy of New Uzbekistan, as our country participated for the very first time as a full member of this prestigious international body.
At the session, the high-level delegation led by Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, outlined the country’s firm stance in this area, along with its comprehensive ongoing reforms and international initiatives.
The events within the framework of the conference were organized at the highest level by the Drug and Firearm Control Agency under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the Central Asian Regional Information and Coordination Centre (CARICC).
It is a matter of great pride that Charos Abdugafulova, a 2nd-year Master’s student in “Social Work” at the National University of Uzbekistan and the leader of the Central Asian Youth Regional Network, participated in this prestigious event. Within the framework of the conference, our talented Master’s student delivered a presentation titled “Preventive Mechanisms for the Protection of Youth and Families,” bringing forward-looking proposals and insights for the development of the field to the attention of the global community.
