The prestigious international ranking agency Round University Ranking (RUR) has announced its 2026 results.

According to the latest ranking, the National University of Uzbekistan climbed 61 positions compared to the previous year and secured 711th place among the world’s leading higher education institutions. This achievement once again demonstrates the university’s growing international competitiveness and the continuous strengthening of its academic and research potential.

Furthermore, the National University of Uzbekistan ranked 1st among higher education institutions in Uzbekistan in the RUR ranking, reinforcing its position as the country’s leading university.

For reference, Round University Ranking (RUR) is one of the most respected international university ranking systems, evaluating leading universities worldwide since 2010. Institutions are assessed based on four key dimensions—teaching quality, research performance, international diversity, and financial sustainability—using 20 performance indicators.

This achievement reflects the results of the consistent reforms being implemented at the National University of Uzbekistan, the improvement in research quality, the expansion of international cooperation, and the dedicated efforts of its faculty members and students.
