On June 11, the Faculty of Economics of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek hosted another scientific and practical seminar within the framework of the “Economic Landscape: Knowledge, Experience and Skills Meetings” week. The event was aimed at familiarizing students with contemporary economic processes and further strengthening the integration of theory and practice.
The keynote speaker of the day was Igor Leonidovich Butikov, Director of the Center for Research on Privatization and State Asset Management Issues. His presentation on “Issues of the Formation and Development of the Securities Market in Uzbekistan” attracted significant interest among participants.
During the seminar, participants discussed the stages of the development of Uzbekistan’s capital market, privatization processes, and the current state and future prospects of the securities market. Particular attention was given to enhancing the investment attractiveness of the economy and improving market mechanisms.
The event vividly demonstrated the guiding principle: “Knowledge is the path to progress, Experience is the foundation of development, and Mastery is the guarantee of the future.” Students and young researchers had the opportunity to engage directly with the expert, receive answers to their questions, and deepen their understanding of the complex mechanisms of the securities market and current trends in the financial sector.
For reference, the “Economic Landscape: Knowledge, Experience and Skills Meetings” week at the Faculty of Economics will continue until June 17. Upcoming events will focus on such topical issues as attracting investment, innovative development, and the application of artificial intelligence technologies in the economy.
