NUUz Student Wins National Stage of the “Green Innovations” Competition

At the national final stage of the “Green Innovations” competition, 87 of the most promising environmental startups presented their projects after being selected from 443 applications submitted from across Uzbekistan. The competition aims to support initiatives that combine environmental protection, sustainability and innovative technologies.

The forum featured presentations of environmental and technological solutions, as well as open discussions with representatives of government institutions, businesses, banks, investors and industry experts. Participants were also introduced to opportunities for developing innovative projects and obtaining grant funding of up to UZS 100 million.

Abdieva Rayhona Baxram qizi, a first-year student of the Mechanics and Mathematical Modelling programme at the Faculty of Mathematics of the National University of Uzbekistan, took part in the national stage and was named among the winners of the competition. Her achievement once again demonstrates the commitment of NUUz students to developing innovative solutions to today’s scientific, technological and environmental challenges.

According to the final results, 12 participants in each of the two age categories — 14–18 and 19–30 — were named winners, making 24 winners in total. The winners received funding vouchers to further develop their innovative projects and advance them towards practical implementation.
